eBay Seller Joins Chorus of Complaints over Search

Very interesting article on Auctionbytes regarding the flaws in Ebay's search tool that have been talked about for almost a year now and never acknowledged before to exist publically. There can be no denying by them any longer that there does indeed seem to be a problem! It will be very interesting indeed to see what happens next. We can only hope and pray that they will eventually see the light and put the Ebay store items back in search.

Productive at last, new Ebay listings done

Well after a week or so of not being very productive on Ebay, with my efforts focused on the blogosphere instead, I kicked it up a notch yesterday and got focused. Happy to say, I have a bunch of listings up for this next week. It's very strange, it seems to take me forever to actually start listing. That's my biggest hurdle. Once I actually start, I can whip them out in no time!

Today I have some packaging and shipping to do, 11 items in all. I also need to look at what I have listed on Wagglepop and consider moving some items back over to Ebay, and I have some stuff that didn't sell on Ebay, that I want to move over there. So those are my plans for today. If I get all caught up with those items today, tomorrow I will tackled the bookeeping before I get too behind.

Time Saver Idea #1: The Crockpot

If you are all like me, there is just never enough time in the day. This morning I volunteered in my youngest child's kindergarten class, came home and cleaned the kitchen up from the breakfast chaos, through in a load of laundry, had lunch, just read through my email, have about 10 items I need to package and ship, and about 20 things I wanted to get listed this afternoon. Never mind dinner! ACK!

So here is my first time saving tip. The Crockpot. I love mine. In the winter time, I use it at least 3x a week, sometimes more. You can throw something in there in the morning, and just forget about that last minute scrambling to find something for dinner. There are also a million recipe's online. Here are two of my family's favorite, most easy recipes ever.

Mexican Chicken: 1 jar of salsa, 1 packet of taco seasoning, 4-6 boneless breasts. Throw all that in there for 2-3 hrs on high, or 4 on low and walla. Take the chicken out, shred it up and use it on taco's, burritos or quesadillas. If you want to make it a little more complex, throw in a can of black beans and a can of corn at the beginning, and add an 8 oz brick of cream cheese in the last
hour. Cut up the cream cheese into smaller chunks and stir in when you add it and again right before serving to distribute evenly. Makes for a creamy sauce and you can serve this option over rice!

BBQ Pork: Just throw in enough boneless country style pork ribs to feed your family. Cover with a bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce. Let simmer on low all day. When it's done, shred up the pork and throw it on some hoagie rolls!

Enjoy!

Powerseller Mom works Ebay

I joined eBay in November 2000, mostly out of curiosity. I spent a lot of my free time scrapbooking, and had read about how some people were selling their pre-made pages and paper piecing's on eBay and doing quite well.

I started selling in September of 2002, and have been at it ever since. I earned my Powerseller status in May of 2003 and have been able to keep it by working my tail off! I have managed to acquire a feedback rating of over 4000 unique feedback (over 5,000 including return customer feedback), and I still maintain 100% feedback rating (knock on wood!). It is now Feb 2007, and I'm still working it, helping to bring in some much needed extra money into our family's budget, yet still being able to be at home for our 3 kids. Please check out my store!

I started this blog, to share with other ebay mom's. Hopefully we can learn from each other, inspire each other and help each other grow our businesses.
